The process

From application to placement

We review every application personally. There's no algorithm, no auto-rejection. Real people reviewing real candidates.

1

Complete Alpha Academy

Our free self-paced training program at alphavirtuals.net/learn.html is required before applying — you'll need your Certificate ID to access the application. It prepares you for the AVS standard, and tells us how you think.

2

Submit your application

Fill out the form below. Include your niche preference, availability, rate expectations, and a short video introduction link. We review within 5 business days.

3

Screening and shortlisting

If shortlisted: a 15–30 minute video call, followed by a short scenario question in writing. We're testing for ops thinking, communication, and reliability — not perfection.

4

Join the talent network

Approved candidates join the AVS talent pool. When a client role matches your profile, you're presented as a candidate. You stay in the pool until placed.

5

Client match and placement

When selected by a client, you sign an independent contractor agreement directly with them, agree your rate and terms together, and begin. Your 60-Day Placement Guarantee window starts on Day 1.

6

Grow from there

AVS isn't a one-time transaction. As you build a track record, you get priority visibility for new client opportunities and access to Alpha Academy's advanced tracks.

What AVS looks for

What matters most — in order

We can teach tools. We cannot teach someone to show up consistently. This is the order of priority when we assess a candidate.

🔒

Reliability over skill

Showing up on time, every time, is worth more than any tool certification. Clients leave over no-shows — not over learning curves.

💬

Honesty over perfection

"I don't know this tool yet but I can learn it by Friday" is a stronger answer than pretending you know something you don't.

Responsiveness

Your response time during the application process tells us everything. Acknowledge every message promptly — even if just to say you're working on it.

📈

Coachability

"Thank you, I'll fix that" beats defensiveness every time. We look for people who grow from feedback, not ones who defend mistakes.

🧠

Operations thinking

We want people who notice the problem before they're told about it, and who come with options — not just an escalation.

Compensation

What AVS placements pay

Rates depend on niche, experience, and role complexity. Every AVS placement is a direct arrangement — you and your client agree your rate together.

Standard Specialist
$6–$8/hr
promoted rate guide · admin & back office
Niche Specialist
$9–$11/hr
promoted rate guide · niche experience
Senior Specialist
$12–$15/hr
promoted rate guide · senior-level roles

These figures are a Promoted Rate Guide based on 2026 Philippine remote-talent market benchmarks — a reference point, not a set rate. You negotiate your actual rate directly with each client; AVS is not involved in that conversation or in payment.

SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions are your responsibility as a self-employed professional.

Included with every placement

The 60-Day Placement Guarantee

If a placement doesn't hold within the first 60 days for a documented, qualifying reason, we run a free replacement search for the client. This is a warranty on our sourcing — it doesn't mean AVS manages your day-to-day work once you're placed. That relationship is between you and your client.

🛡️

You're heard. Not just the client.

If a client raises a concern that might qualify for the guarantee, AVS reaches out to hear your side before making any decision about a replacement search.

🚫

Bad-faith clients don't get a second referral

We're honest that we can't monitor every working relationship day to day — that's between you and your client, by design. But we do track how our placements go. Clients who misrepresent a role, don't pay as agreed, or whose specialists consistently churn or raise concerns don't get repeat access to our network. We can't promise every client will be a perfect fit — but we can promise the ones who show a pattern of treating specialists badly stop getting referred people.

Questions about working with AVS

What you probably want to know

Is Alpha Academy required before I apply?
Yes — it's required, not optional. The application only opens once you've completed the free self-paced curriculum and have your Certificate ID in hand; you'll need to enter it on the application form. This isn't a formality: Alpha Academy tells us how you think, how you communicate, and whether you understand the standard we hold. It's free — there's no cost barrier to completing it.
How long does it take to get placed?
It depends on client demand and your niche. Operations and dispatch candidates are typically placed within 2–4 weeks of approval. Other niches may take longer depending on current open roles. Being in the talent pool doesn't guarantee placement, but we keep you updated on where you stand.
Do I work directly for the client, or for AVS?
You work directly with the client, day-to-day — always. Every AVS placement is an independent contractor arrangement: your contract is with the client, not AVS, from Day 1. AVS's role is sourcing and introduction; once you're placed, you and your client manage the relationship, schedule, and payment directly.
What is the 60-Day Placement Guarantee?
It's AVS's warranty on our own sourcing quality: if a placement doesn't hold within 60 days for a documented, specific reason, AVS runs one free replacement search for the client. It's not an ongoing management service — AVS doesn't check in on your day-to-day work during this window. If a client raises a concern that might trigger a replacement search, AVS always talks to you first.
What happens if my client and I don't click?
Contact AVS — we're not a party to your working agreement, but we're glad to hear both sides and help you think through next steps. If it genuinely isn't working, you may qualify for a replacement search under the 60-Day Placement Guarantee (see above), and we'll help you find a better fit.
Can I apply for more than one niche?
Yes — indicate your primary niche and mention secondary skills in the notes field. We'll match you based on your strongest niche for the first placement. After that first placement, we expand your profile based on demonstrated performance.
Do you take a cut of my hourly rate?
No. AVS never touches your rate or your pay. The client pays AVS a one-time placement fee for sourcing and vetting; separately, you and the client agree your rate directly and they pay you directly. These are two completely separate transactions.
What if I want to negotiate my rate?
Know your target before the conversation. Ask about the client's budget before naming your rate — this gives you the anchor. If a client's budget is significantly below your minimum, it's okay to say it's not the right fit — professionally, and without drama. AVS supports candidates who know their value.
Does completing Alpha Academy guarantee I'll be placed with a client?
No — and we think it's important to be honest about that from the start. Completing Alpha Academy is required to apply to the AVS talent pool, but completion alone does not guarantee placement. Every applicant goes through the full 6-stage A6 Framework, including the Assessment stage — a video assessment, a skills scenario, a live interview, and a reference check. Your Alpha Academy certificate has real professional value regardless of whether AVS places you — it demonstrates commitment to professional development and can be used with any employer. You're also always welcome to stay in the Alpha Academy community.
Am I an employee of AVS or of the client?
Neither. All AVS placements are independent contractor arrangements — no employer-employee relationship exists between you and AVS, or between you and the client. This means you have freedom to work for other clients, to control how you complete your work, and to set your own professional standards. It also means that benefits like SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG are not legally mandated by the client or by AVS — you self-pay these as a self-employed professional. AVS can point you to benefits facilitation services if you'd like help setting up voluntary contributions. There is no 13th month pay obligation under this arrangement, as that requirement applies to employer-employee relationships under Philippine law (PD 851) — which this is not.
