Your first 30 days with a client define the entire relationship. This kit walks you through every week — setup, habits, communication, and self-assessment — so your first impression is a lasting one.
How to use this kit: Check off each item as you complete it. Print it out and keep it somewhere visible. Your goal is not just to check boxes — it's to build habits that make you the kind of professional clients extend, promote, and refer.

Days 1–7 — Setup and First Impressions
The first week is about getting everything right before you get it fast.
Day 1 — Welcome
Send your Day 1 introduction message to the client — professional, warm, brief. Confirm you have access to everything you need.
Test all tools and logins. Flag any access issues immediately — do not wait and hope it resolves.
Reply to the AVS Alpha Anchor Day 1 message from Alexander. Confirm you're set up and ready.
Identify the client's communication style from Day 1 tone — are they formal or casual? Adjust accordingly.
Set up your workspace fully. Camera tested at eye level. Mic checked. Background professional.
Days 2–5 — First Full Week
Deliver your first task on time or early — first impressions are irreversible.
Ask one clarifying question per day maximum. Batching questions shows operational discipline.
Acknowledge every client message within 5 minutes during work hours — even if just to say you're on it.
Keep a simple daily task log (Google Sheet or Notion). What you worked on, how long, status.
If something is taking longer than expected, communicate BEFORE the deadline — never after.
Identify one thing you can improve about your setup or workflow this week. Write it down.
Day 7 — AVS Alpha Anchor Check-In
Respond to AVS Alpha Anchor Day 7 message. Be honest about how the first week went.
Write a brief self-assessment: What went well? What was harder than expected? What do you need to improve?

Days 8–14 — Build Your Rhythm
Week 2 is where you stop figuring out and start executing.
Block your work hours in your calendar. Protect them like they're scheduled client calls.
Identify the client's top 3 priorities. Align your daily work to those — not just the tasks assigned.
Start a "Client Insight Log" — anything you notice about how the client thinks, communicates, or decides. This makes you irreplaceable.
Complete at least one task this week that wasn't explicitly asked but that you noticed needed doing.
Send a brief end-of-week summary to the client: what you completed, what's in progress, what's coming next week. Make this a habit.
Confirm your internet backup plan is ready. Do a test if you haven't.
Review your rate expectation. Are you operating at the tier you applied for? If not, what's the gap?

Days 15–21 — Deepen the Relationship
By Week 3, you should feel settled. If you don't, something needs attention.
Send a proactive update to the client — not just tasks, but insight. "I noticed X, and I think Y might help." Clients extend this kind of professional.
Flag any scope creep immediately and professionally. "Happy to help with this — should I pause X to do it, or prioritize both?"
If you've received feedback (positive or corrective), act on it visibly. Reference it in your next delivery.
Update your personal skills log — what tools or processes have you learned this month that you didn't know before?
Write 3 sentences about what you could do to make the client's life measurably easier next week.
Confirm the Alpha Anchor Day 30 review is coming — prepare your honest self-assessment.

Days 22–30 — Prove the Placement
Day 30 is the mid-point review. By now you should have evidence — not promises.
Prepare your Day 30 self-assessment: What have I delivered? What's measurably better because of my work? What am I still learning?
Respond to the AVS Alpha Anchor Day 30 message honestly. This is your advocate — use them.
Ask the client directly: "Is there anything about my work or communication you'd like me to adjust?" Do not wait to be told.
Review your task log for the month. Are you delivering at the pace and quality the client needs?
Set your goals for Day 31–60: one skill to develop, one process to own, one relationship to deepen.
If there are any unresolved concerns — about scope, rate, or working dynamics — raise them with AVS NOW. Not at Day 60.
Day 30 milestone: Most professionals who make it to a strong Day 30 review get extended, promoted, and referred. The ones who don't make it usually failed in Week 1 or stayed silent about problems instead of raising them early. You're building a career — not just completing a contract.
